RESPONSIBILITY

Kieserling Foundation

In 2004, Karsten Kieserling founded the non-profit Kieserling Foundation in Bremen, to which he subsequently transferred all his shares in the companies of the Kieserling Group.

This stakeholder sponsorship foundation assures the entire group of a high degree of security and neutrality.

Karsten Kieserling died in 2006. His main goal was as far as possible to secure his life’s work for future generations, i.e. to strengthen the group and promote Bremen as a logistics location through not-for-profit commitment.

During his life, Karsten Kieserling recognised and exemplified the close link between entrepreneurial action and social responsibility. By establishing the Foundation in 2004, he set up an institution which, through its objective to promote science and research as well as education and training – in particular in the field of logistics – allows this outlook on life to live on and his mission to continue.

To find out about the work of the Foundation in all areas relating to transportation science and logistics, as well as for information about the annual Bremer Logistiktag, a symposium initiated and organised by the Foundation, go to www.kieserling-stiftung.de.
