Intermodal transport services
Intermodal and trimodal freight services carried out via a combination of road, rail and water are built into all Kieserling logistics concepts and represent the majority of the Group’s transport services. Our innovative and integrative concept approach enables us to optimise transport chains wherever we can. As a foresighted innovator, Kieserling was one of the founders of Kombiverkehr KG, which first combined road and rail transport back in 1969. Today, we look back on this step with a certain pride, as even in those days it already secured us a pioneering position in cost-effective and ecological logistics and transport management.
Apart from generating eco-friendly side effects, the additional 4 t permissible gross weight (44 t) in combined road-rail transport also brings clear economic benefits for our customers. Here, the Kieserling Group offers customised solutions with our own rolling stock on rented tracks and operates regular scheduled services from north to south.
